ABOUT
Serving New Hampshire and Massachusetts, East Coast K9 provides balanced, effective dog training rooted in real-world results. We specialize in obedience and behavior modification.
At ECK9, our goal is to create a unique program for each dog that supplies them with the tools they can use day-to-day to create a stable and stress-free life, leaving both the handler and dog feeling confident to tackle anything life throws at them.

Many dogs need more than obedience - they need guidance in managing fear, excitement, or insecurity. Our behavior modification programs focus on helping nervous, reactive, or overwhelmed dogs feel safe, supported, and understood. Through confidence-building and clear communication, we work with you and your dog to create lasting change.

POSITIONS W/ IMPLIED STAY
We teach your dog to hold their positions without needing repeated reminders. This lesson builds impulse control, clarity, and trust by helping your dog understand that “sit” or “down” means stay until they’re released.

LOOSE LEASH WALKING
Training a dog to walk calmly beside you with a slack leash, making walks more enjoyable for both of you.

THRESHOLD CONTROL
Teaches dogs to pause and remain calm at doorways or exit points, preventing rushing or bolting. Helps keep dogs safe from hazards like traffic or other dangerous situations.

AND MORE!
Every dog and every household is unique, and so are their training needs. If you’re looking for help with something not listed - whether it’s a specific behavior, a lifestyle skill, or a custom training goal - I’m happy to tailor a plan just for you. Reach out and we can create a personalized solution that fits your dog, your routine, and your vision.

THE PLACE COMMAND
A versatile and essential command that teaches a dog to go to a specific, defined spot (such as a mat, bed, or raised cot) and stay there until a release word is given.

A RELIABLE RECALL
Our recall training teaches dogs to respond quickly and happily the first time they’re called, even around distractions.

PROPER SOCIALIZATION
True socialization teaches your dog to exist calmly around other dogs without fixating, pulling, or reacting. Social neutrality creates a safer, happier, and more confident dog who can handle real-world environments with ease.
